If each single life
Began with a song,
Then some would be short
While others’d be long,
Some would be bright
And some more than sad,
A jubilant cry
Or soft sweet ballad.
The theme would be heard
Repeated throughout,
A chorus of time
In bars measured out,
And each single verse,
A chapter of years,
Tales full of love or
Crescendoing fears.
And they’d intertwine
And sometimes transpose,
Not always the song
That we would compose,
But all would be sung
Exceptionally,
Major or minor,
Our choice would be key.
Very well said, I can certainly associate with it.
That’s all I wanted. 🙂
I think mine would be a dirge, with the lyrics altered in bawdy rubbish by some stupid darts player down the pub.
Even dirges can be quite beautiful…in a haunting, depressing kind of way.
you are brilliant
Just a pebble in a mine full of diamonds, trying to shine in my own way.
