The Scottish psychiatrist? I suppose I would make a rather interesting patient. I wonder what kind mental illnesses a cat can have.
Not sure he’s Scottish, but he is (or was) a psychiatrist, he wroote a book called “Knots” back in 1970…your poem reminded me of it.

I thought it was taut.
Taught like having learned, not taut like tense or pulled tight. Based on the idea that we have to be taught how to express our love in order for others to receive it.
Actually I meant taut as in full of energy.
Ah, I think that’s like the 4th definition in the dictionary. Emotionally or mentally strained is above it.

Yes, cats definitely are narcissistic, but this is their baseline personality. I would be more worried if a cat started bringing me slippers and actually did as it was told. 😀
