Our galaxy’s a mother
Who nurses all her young.
Her milk will always flow
For every hungry tongue
That suckles greedily,
The planets that adorn
The bosom of her space,
Like kittens newly born.

Wow! Your use of analogy (or maybe it’s metaphor?? I’m not sure – the way you connect the galaxy and mothering) here, is simply wonderful! I love this piece.
It’s safe to say that it’s a metaphor as it directly compares our galaxy to being a mother, but I have no idea what the difference is between an analogy and an extended metaphor…hurts my head to think about. 😛
