Some like Edgar Allan Poe,
Or like a Brontë sister,
There’s only two I know.
But in this world among us,
There’s no one quite like you,
So write the words deep in your heart
Like only you can do.

My tang gets toungled up,
Haven’t read the Brontes
Since Moses was a pup,
And only when depressed
Do I read the works of Poe.
But YOU, dear, are delightful!
And I love the way you flow.

I long to write like any and all of them! This is just simply a wonderful piece.
We all wish we could at some point, but this often silences the words in our own hearts wishing to be heard and expressed.
That’s simply…well….simple but so very profound. It’s inspiring.

Oh shhh. Only you that reads them! Lol seriously, this was awesome. Short and although it appears a simple poem it’s so hard to get stuff across in so few words and with flawless rhythm and meter. Loved it.
Like only you can do… That means a lot of hardwork. It takes hundreds, even thousands of hours to find a distinctive voice.
Only you can write the words deep in your heart, distinctive or not. There is a distinction. 😉

I was curious so I checked out the lyrics, and they are “Only you have the right to me…only you come home every night”. It’s a beautiful love song. 🙂

Offcourse! Wish I could write as you…like you can write about anything and weave words beautifully.
True happiness from writing comes in discovering the words and message hiding inside you.
